WHAT CAN VEGANS EAT ON EASYJET FLIGHTS?

Updated: Mar 13, 2023

We flew most recently with Easyjet to Palermo in May and June 2022.

Here we explain the vegan options on the menu, including what is available, how much the plant-based items cost and how they tasted...

How is the vegetarian and vegan selection?

Easyjet's current menu is short, to say the least. It consists of just one page, with a handful of 'meal' options and a few drinks and snacks.

  • Of the 8 main options, 1 is vegan

  • Of the 14 snack options, 4 are vegan

  • All of the 41 drink options, 34 of these are vegan

What items can I purchase, and how much do they cost?

Vegan Options:

  • Mains:

    • Spiced pea, broccoli, and broad bean fritter wrap: £4.50

  • Snacks:

    • Pringles Original: £2

    • Olly's Pretzel Thins, Multi-seed Sesame: £2

    • Olly's Basil and Garlic Olives: £2

    • Livia's Choc Brownie Nugglets: £2

How did the food taste?

Well, unfortunately we can't tell you. Both of our Easyjet flights were during a time of supply disruption, when their hot and cold 'main' options were unavailable. At present it is not clear when this supply issue will be resolved; we will update this section in future, when we have finally tried that intriguing-sounding fritter wrap!

How do we rate Palermo Airport's selection?

The selection that Easyjet offer is okay - or it will be, when they have the items in stock again. It is still the case that the majority of their hot and cold 'main' options are not suitable for vegetarians and vegans, but their snack selection is a little better. From a vegan perspective, it is nice to have both savoury and sweet snack options. On a very positive note, many of the hot drinks are vegan, as Easyjet now stock oat milk sticks alongside their usual dairy ones - so be sure to ask for oat milk when you order your drinks!

What did you think about the vegan food options on EasyJet flights? Are there any new items or has anything changed since we visited? Have you tried that fritter wrap? Leave us a comment to let us know (and others who might be visiting too!)
